Calling all local hops.

We are inviting all mid-Atlantic hop growers to the first (and soon-to-be annual) Maryland Hop Selection next Monday, August 26 at Flying Dog Brewery.

Each year, we use local hops in Secret Stash Harvest Ale, a celebration of local agriculture and a reflection of each year's crop. This year, we're taking the hop industry in the mid-Atlantic to the next level with an official hop selection lead by our Brewmaster Matt Brophy and his team of brewers. 

All amounts are welcome, but all hops must be dried in order to be considered. Selection involves Matt and our brewers cutting into dried, compressed hops, rubbing the cones between their hands, and smelling the aromatics of the hops. Submissions will be anonymously labeled, with feedback given to each farmer at the end of selection.
