Hurray for the Riff Raff to Perform First Summer Sessions Concert June 20
Hurray for the Riff Raff, the headliner of our first Summer Sessions concert of the season, is for the people.
"It's grown into this bigger idea of feeling like we really associate with the underdog," singer Alynda Lee Segarra said. "We really feel at home with a lot of worlds of people that don't really seem to fit together, and we find a way to make them all hang out with our music."
That doesn't sound like our motley crew of those who pledge their allegiance to good beer, now does it?
While Hurray for the Riff Raff's music sweeps across multiple genres, it can best be described as traditional Americana folk with equal parts grace and grit. The band has received rave reviews from NPR, The New York Times and more, and is at the forefront of a new generation of musicians celebrating and reimagining American roots music.
Hear for yourself by checking out the music video for their latest single, "I Know It's Wrong (But That's Alright)."
Hurray for the Riff Raff will perform live on our front lawn, with Mechanical River opening, Saturday, June 20. Tickets are $25 and on sale now via MissionTix.com.
