Ain't Nothing But A G Thing
Flying Dog lost a huge piece of its collective heart last month with the unexpected passing of Gerald “G" Bigelow.
G was so much more than a coworker. He always laughed at our jokes, and he spent hours of his free time patiently teaching a rowdy, inebriated bunch of mutts how to play D&D. He was our friend, our brother, and our Dungeon Master, and we miss him more than any words written here can convey.
Our Flying Dog family has decided to pay tribute to our fallen friend the best way we know how: By brewing a beer that’s almost as amazing as he was. Ain’t Nothing But A G Thing has a juicy-fruity yeast strain that G himself had been experimenting with in his own homebrewing escapades. The end result is a deliciously-tropical, hazy pale ale that reminds us of a mystery Dum Dum sucker.
Try it on Saturday, March 30 in our tasting room. We’ll have food trucks, music, and a raffle with some kick-ass prizes, including a pair of Flying Dog Vans, Nationals tickets, and plenty of other local goodies.
Proceeds from the beer, raffle and the Roasthouse Pub food truck will benefit the Bigelow family. If you’re unable to attend or simply wish to contribute to the family directly, you can do so via this GoFundMe page.
