0.10K Sprint for Spat: Registration Now Open

SprintForSpatLOGO

Sprint: To move at full speed, especially for a short distance.

Spat: The spawn of an oyster in early development.

With a mere 100 meters to glory, this is the run for those of us who don't actually like to run, but really like to say that we like to run.

Our inaugural Sprint for Spat 0.10K will happen Sunday, May 4 in Baltimore's historic Fells Point neighborhood. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and the Oyster Recovery Partnership

Runners will compete on a 100-meter course located within the South Broadway Square in Fells Point. A hydration station -- featuring a Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout oyster shooter -- will be located at the 0.05K mark.

At the conclusion of this grueling footrace, runners will refuel with tracks spun by DJ Landis Expandis, beer from yours truly, food truck fare, and buck-a-shuck grilled and raw oysters from local Rappahannock River Oysters, Barren Island Oysters, and Hollywood Oysters.

Race registration is $23 and includes a race t-shirt, 0.01K bumper sticker, and bragging rights. Event is limited to those 21 and older.  Space is limited, so snag your spot today.
